Whether you’re curating content in a magazine or diving into specific topics, there are numerous ways to make flipping through content faster and easier. In this article, I’ll share some simple hacks to help you save time, stay organized, and enjoy a smoother experience with Flipboard.
All hacks are for mobile using Android or iOS
Resetting Magazine Cover
- Open Flipboard and tap your profile picture in the bottom-right corner.
- Select the issue whose cover you want to reset.
- Open the desired magazine and tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
- Scroll to find the “Reset Cover” and select.
- The cover will now update as you flip new articles into your magazine.
Pro Tip: This feature is ideal for news, holiday, sports, and current events magazines.
Select your Flipboard Mode: Flip or Scroll
Flipboard allows you to select between two browsing modes: Flip or Scroll. Users can tailor their reading experience based on preference. Here’s how to enable your choice:
1. Flip Mode
This mode makes Flipboard unique. As you move your thumb up and down your device, pages “flip” like a magazine, providing a unique reading experience. It’s ideal for those who love the feel of flipping through content. It is also great for visually rich content, offering a full-page view for each article.
- Because it’s Flipboard’s default mode, no additional settings are usually required.
- If you’ve changed your settings previously, check the app settings to re-enable Flip mode.
2. Scroll Mode
Scroll mode allows you to swipe up and down to browse through articles, like reading a newsfeed. Perfect for quickly skimming through content. This mode is more efficient for news junkies or those looking for a faster browsing experience.
How to Enable:
- Go to your Profile Settings within the app.
- Look for “Display Mode” and toggle to switch to “Scroll” mode.
Both modes improve usability in different ways, so try them out to find which best suits your style. Do you have a specific aim or feeling for your Flipboard browsing?
