Black Lives Matter deserves top focus for getting people into the streets and demanding integrity. When your ‘protectors’ are killing you, change needs to happen. Now! Fixing the police is a start, but only the first step.
Let me share a long life’s view of some next steps, as reforming policing without fixing the prosecution, or the prosecution without the laws will not lead to a safe home space. We need a skill that breeds patience and endurance; and hopefully comes earlier for you than for this activist that started in 1967.
