🚨 Team Highlights

Jess Nominated for Sommelier KPI Council

Jess, @Web3Analyst on Twitter, has been nominated to lead a KPI council for Sommelier Finance, a DeFi app built on Comsos and the IBC ecosystem. Relying on data to evaluate strategies’ efficacy, this council seeks to create a pathway to additional incentives for high-performing cellar creators. A three-person council, Jess’ role as a lead will last for an initial term of 6 months, after such the council will be renewed at that time. Fig and the wider Governance team have collaborated to allocate funding to projects nominated for Optimism’s retroactive public goods funding #2. Evaluating teams across three categories, we have identified a group of 11 projects, people, and collections, equating to over $20k in funding for each!

📰 Governance News of the Week

Arbitrum Announces It’s Token!

Eager users have learned of Arbitrum’s plan to further decentralize, announcing an airdrop of the Abritrum token — ARB. Gearing up for its claim date in ~6 days, Abritrum announced a thread for future delegates to express their interest in representing the Abritrum ecosystem. Funnily, they used a previous Flipisde Uniswap vote to evaluate applicants’ decision-making process. So far there is interest from over 350 applications! You may learn more about their vision towards a more fair and equitable future here. See below for some killer data and statistics on this initial token distribution and Abitrum’s soon-to-be Governance token.

📊 Analysis of the Week

With a much anticipated delegate program ramping up, this week we could not ignore that the Arbitrum token airdrop has arrived! In total, 625.1k wallets were eligible for the airdrop with 1.2B tokens up for claiming by the community.

A majority of wallets were targered to receive either 625, 875, or 1125 $ARBI tokens. However, some wallets were likely to receive +10k tokens right off the bat. To learn more about the distribution of tokens in the Arbitrum airdrop, check out this awesome dashboard made by Flipside community member crypto_edgar.

Once you claim your tokens, you will have the opportunity to delegate your voting power. Keep your eyes out for the Flipside governance squad on that initial list of delegates.
