Across the Industry: Governance News of the Week 📰
- Ethereum Name Service Selects Karpatkey DAO to Manage Its Endowment Fund: In a vote that opened on November 17th, and closed on November 22nd, the ENS community chose Karpatkey DAO to act as fund manager over the ENS Endowment. Karpatkey is a well established player in the industry, and notably manages Gnosis’s treasury. Up against Llama and Avantgarde, Karpatkey secured 1.8M ENS (or 57.62%) of the vote.
- Aera Creates Vaults for DAOs on Polygon to Manage Their Treasuries: The goal is to make treasury-related governance more efficient by providing a tool for DAOs to manage their reserves. DAOs can deploy Aera’s vaults by depositing their treasury tokens into the vaults and then assign vault guardians from among the small group of participants appointed to manage their reserves. TOOLS 👏 TOOLS 👏 TOOLS 👏
- dYdX DAO Launches Operations Trust subDAO: Proposed by Reverie, The Ops Trust will be responsible for exploring various entity options so that, in the future, community members can make better informed decisions as to exactly which entity type to choose when launching a new subDAO. Compensation will be $372K for 6 months and will then be revisited.
