All About Compound📈Liquidators 💦

We’re closing out this week of Compound Bounties by taking another look at Compound liquidators — this time with the help of a pair of submissions. Thanks to @Massnomis, along with @shenron_eth and @degen_mister_y for their help on this bounty.
This bounty was all about finding out about liquidators on Compound. More specifically, we wanted to know who the largest liquidators and liquidation targets on Compound are, and how much those liquidators are making over time. So what did we find out?
We’ll start out with a submission from @Massnomis, who provided a breakdown of the top liquidators in the market out of more than 100k in liquidations.
As @Massnomis points out in his submission, one specific liquidator has heavily liquidated cDAI, presumably related to the dfail liquidation event.
He also found overlap between overall liquidations and specific markets liquidation. More specifically, that there would a constant supply of small liquidators that seem to randomly liquidate smaller positions.
@shenron_eth and @degen_mister_y, meanwhile, found that the worst liquidation (by volume in $USD)was worth over $4 million, while 5 users have seen more than $1 million liquidated in the last few month.
These top 5 liquidators account of more than 96% of liquidated volume, and are notably gas intensive. Other liquidators, meanwhile, have thinner margins, which could make them targets for smaller liquidations.
