Yesterday, we took a look at the biggest whales on the Compound ecosystem. Now, it’s time to see how those big addresses compare to the network’s average user. Thanks again to @shenron_eth and @degen_mister_y for their help on this bounty.
We can start by taking a look at the borrowing power of the typical Compound wallet. Our bounty hunters found that the average wallet has a median percentage borrowed of roughly 53% as of May 3, 2021. See below to take a closer look at how those levels have changed over time, and how they vary by market.
Whales, meanwhile, which we’ve defined as addresses that interact with late amounts of volume on Compound, have a median borrowing percentage of roughly 71%. You can also see how their borrowing varies by market:
