No time to explain. In this series of articles, I do a quick review of websites where we’ll discuss three flowchart aspects such as onboarding, killer features and dark patterns. Today we are going to focus on Linktree. Giddy up!

#1 — Onboarding

What’s good?
Recognizable design patterns, magic wizard-ish process and a nice selection for new users who are asked to set up their page. Simple but cheerful models, welcoming microcopy. Linktree is a small, but powerful game-changer.

What’s bad?

Disabled buttons. I agree, disabled gray-color buttons might seem like a good idea, but here they’re hard to read because of low contrast against the background.

What I’ve learned?

  1. Disabled buttons suck
  2. Study patterns of like purpose

#2 — Create page on Linktree

What’s good?
Linktree is designed to allow users to create custom link rounds for their followers. Kind of a single problem killer. Also, Linktree’s Support Anti-Racism reminds me of zine culture but in its digital version.

With its looped patterns that are really easy to understand — anyone can use it, whether you are looking for a simple way to post gifs or recently published articles from the New York Times, or if you are trying to share your latest workout routine with your followers. Just be creative!

What I’ve learned?

  1. Focus on one problem to solve
  2. Short time to value

#3 — Deleting your account on Linktree

What’s good?
There are many good reasons why Linktree is the best solution for digital marketers and one of the advantages is that even if you lose your users you can still have them as ambassadors who can share a positive experience about your service. And I really like the way Linktree removed my data.

What I’ve learned?

  1. Finishing relations with your users is also as important as starting them

Outro

I enjoy this application not only because I’m curious to know how everything works, but I also use Linktree in my daily workflow for sharing links with our Design Digest. This tool fits my pocket and helps to save time.

Happy holidays! 🖤🎅🏻🥂
