Ride & Draw bicycle and art tour of Columbia County (Saturday, June 23, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.)

This slow-paced, beginner-friendly group bicycle ride takes you to several beautiful locations in the south Columbia County area including Saint Helens and Columbia City. We will stop along the 22-mile route and enjoy the views and nature while drawing/sketching and making new friends.

The ride will begin and end at the Floy Preslar Gallery. Advance registration and signed liability waiver are required. You must have a well-maintained and well-equipped bicycle, and a helmet in order to participate. Maximum participants per group: 7. Registration fee: $40 per person. To register, use Eventbrite or email fpgallery@limeadestandworks.com.

How to manage your workload and avoid burnout (Saturday, July 7, 10 a.m.-noon)

If you are like most working artists, you can easily get overwhelmed by the demands of the daily tasks. Unfortunately, what most people have learned about time management simply does not work for independent entrepreneurs, artists, and anyone who is outside the typical corporate 9-to-5 world.

In this class, you will learn the methods that will maximize the impact of everything that you do while minimizing the distraction and meaningless work. You will also learn the fundamentals of project management, goal setting, and how to stay flexible when unexpected happens.

Class fee: $40 per person including materials. To register, email fpgallery@limeadestandworks.com or use Eventbrite. The class will be held at the Creative Liberation Lab/Floy Preslar Gallery Administration Office, 32180 Pittsburg Road Unit 350.

How to price your artwork (Saturday, July 7, 2–4 p.m.) + plein air day

Pricing your artwork is often one of the trickiest subjects for an artist who aspires to earn income from their creative activities. It is often a complex interplay of art and science, in which many factors must be taken into account.

Creative Liberation Lab equips creators to become entrepreneurs. In this class you will learn the key elements of pricing your art and how to make your artistic ventures economically sustainable for yourself.

After this class, we will be having a plein air picnic at an overlook nearby. We encourage you to bring art supplies and some food or drink to share.

Class fee: $40 per person including materials. To register, email fpgallery@limeadestandworks.com or use Eventbrite. The class will be held at the Creative Liberation Lab/Floy Preslar Gallery Administration Office, 32180 Pittsburg Road Unit 350.

(Discount if you register for both classes above: $70 total.)
