From today, users across the European Union + United Kingdom, Norway, Switzerland, Iceland and Liechtenstein will be able to sign up for full-fledged accounts with personal IBAN’s.
They will be able to deposit, send and exchange US Dollars, Euro’s, British Pounds and Swiss Francs.
Most importantly of course, they will be able to mint digital dollars (DUSD), right from their deposit account, to their web3 wallet (Metamask etc.) on Arbitrum, in seconds. And redeem back in seconds too.
The world’s first bank account that’s linked to your web3 wallet, using our full reiteration of the “stablecoin” that’s verifiably backed 1:1 on-chain.

Liquidity
In our quest of delivering the fastest, cheapest, safest Fiat-DeFi bridge, we ran into the same problem as many of our future users.
To be able to provide you this solution, the final step was to kickstart the DUSD/ETH liquidity pool — for which we needed a way to on-ramp a lot of USD to buy ETH with it. Since we couldn’t use our own solution yet, we had to go through the traditional route we are trying to replace.
And unfortunately we ran into pretty much every single issue we’re trying to solve.

- new accounts stuck in “KYC pending” state for weeks? ✅
- non-responsive customer support & support tickets being ignored? ✅

Eventually, we were able to buy ETH privately through an OTC deal, and we’ve set up a DUSD/ETH and DUSD/FLUID pool on Arbitrum Sushiswap.

and back! — you’ll have to connect your wallet on the Arbitrum network to see the pairs.
Of course you can now exchange against all other currencies on Arbitrum Sushiswap as well, through automatic routing of the liquidity pool’s ETH.
For example, if you want to trade your DUSD for USDC, Sushiswap would automatically route your transaction through the DUSD/ETH pool, to the USDC/ETH pool, to give you USDC in one transaction.

Other future priorities
Apart from deep liquidity pools, we are working on much, much more.
A priority is the ability to buy Arbitrum ETH (AETH), without ever leaving the Fluid web-app.
We’re also working hard on incorporating debit cards for our users, Visa or Mastercard depending on jurisdiction. Definitely putting a nail in the coffin of any bank, exchange or stablecoin you were using before.
In the future we’ll be multi-chain, and also offer our verifiably backed digital cash in different currencies, such as the Euro, British Pound and Swiss Franc.
And that’s not all!
