From August 25th to September 8th, we ran a sale for large buyers to have an opportunity to purchase AirSwap tokens at discounts between 10–30% depending on the size of the purchase. Today on October 3rd, we closed the presale process and stopped collecting ether from buyers.
We sold over $20M USD worth of AirSwap tokens during the pre-sale process.
The pre-sale was heavily oversubscribed and we sold 70% of the AST allocated for the token launch. While we likely could have completed the token launch this way, we closed the presale to focus on the wider community and main sale. Community involvement is a top priority for AirSwap and the success of the main sale is a measure of that.
42M AST will be sold in the main sale on October 10th, 2017. The hard cap for the main sale will be 42k ETH.
Our presale buyers include Kenetic Capital, Blockchain Partners Korea, FBG, Smart Contract Japan, and a strong representation of product and technology leaders from the blockchain ecosystem. They collectively share our vision of a token economy driven by exchange, and that exchange driven by peer-to-peer.
