Token Trader beta starts tomorrow

We’re excited to begin the limited beta for the AirSwap Token Trader tomorrow, an end-to-end implementation of the Swap Peer and Oracle protocols. This testing phase will let us improve and solidify the token trading experience. You can read more on Introducing the AirSwap Token Trader. We’re on track for a mainnet release early next year.

The Token Trader will look and feel similar to Shapeshift as a simple, quick, and decentralized peer-to-peer trade. You’ll be able to trade with a designated market maker, which we’ll be running in the Galaxy office this week.

The beta is limited to a group of testers from throughout the community. Once we have collected feedback and worked through any bugs or improvements, we’re looking to open up to a wider audience sometime next week.

Preparing for XTC (Extreme Tech Challenge)

AirSwap was selected as a Top 10 Semi-Finalist for the Extreme Tech Challenge. The next phase of the competition is an opportunity to present at the Consumer Electronics Showcase (CES) between January 8–12 in Las Vegas. We are preparing our presentation for a chance to pitch Richard Branson on Necker Island.

In addition to presenting, the AirSwap team will be hosting a dinner and meeting with CES attendees from around the world. If you’re attending, please reach out to us to find time to meet in person.

Join us for the AirSwap AMA

The AirSwap AMA begins Today at 10am EST through 2pm EST. The entire AirSwap team invites you to ask about our team, products, plans, and the market making elements of our AirSwap platform. Specifically, our most recent blogpost discusses in detail the various reasons a market maker would choose to trade on decentralized global marketplace over centralized exchanges and why makers, retail and institutional traders will find trading on AirSwap favorable over other DEXs. Operations

AirSwap is a company registered in Hong Kong and we plan to begin our operations there in early 2018. We are building teams in both Hong Kong and Brooklyn, giving us the ability to build both a strong presence throughout Asia and maintain a local connection to the crypto and financial communities in New York.

We held our first set of meetings to iron out a preliminary budget for 2018. Once these conversations are finalized, we will be able to publish more widely with the community.

On another side of the world, AirSwap joint venture partner, ConsenSys, launched a new office in London last month. We’ll be working with this office for various enterprise engagements. You can read more about the launch.
