At Fluxx we’ve spent the last 10 years supporting hundreds of businesses to place the right bets and create winning products and services. We’re really passionate about innovation and working with our clients to not just create a one-off-innovation piece but to equip them with the necessary skills to build their own innovation capabilities. And we want to continue to help people come up with new ideas, products and services to meet the needs and predict new needs of a post C-19 world.

That’s why our brilliant Fluxx team has put together our Innovation Bootcamp; a two week, hands-on learning experience. We move delegates from initial ideas, through to testing and developing a pilot. So if you have a new idea for a product and service or just want to develop much needed innovation and design thinking skills, this course is for you.

Our first cohort has just finished so we thought we’d share a bit more info about what they do, their motivations and what they thought of the course. We’ve had a great range of people who all bring different perspectives. Job roles have included Internal Comms Channels Partner from RSA, Innovation Manager from The Department of Transport, a freelance writer and a Director of a Design Consultancy to name but a few.

What do you want to get out of our Innovation Bootcamp?

Our first bootcamp cohort joined for a number of reasons including; to learn about Design Thinking and how to practically apply it, find some new research methods, create a rock solid business case, think about how to do more in the Government sector and to help with two possible new ventures:

“Ability to think and convince strategically in the post-virus landscape. Things will change in unexpected ways, so a practical toolkit to understand and structure the opportunities that throws up, and act on them…”

“An understanding of how to run an innovation process at pace. I’m also looking for tools and templates that will help me work smarter on a daily basis.”

“ I want the techniques to apply a different mindset to problem-solving and building ideas — and a repeatable process.”

What did you enjoy about the course?

“As a starter workshop, it gave me the right amount of insight into the design thinking mindset, the ability to practice some of the methods (such as how to ask the right questions and challenge assumptions) and useful tips to get started.”

“I appreciated the Frameworks and discussion around them — nothing like a good template!”

“Seeing the tools and techniques in action — I’d used some before but informally so really good to have these in a toolkit. This has given me more confidence.”

Who else will it benefit?

Anyone that wants to get moving and turn ideas to action. You might be heading up a product team, already working in an innovation function, looking for a career change, running your own business or on furlough.
