If you’ve been in the San Jose Airport or following #flightgoals in the past week, you may have noticed something more active than usual in the terminal: a built-out concept cabin in which passengers are free to move around the cabin and able to take a Peloton bike for a ride.

The Transpose team demoing the Peloton bikes at San Jose International Airport.

That’s right — we’re excited to be a part of the launch of Transpose, a project from Airbus’s Silicon Valley outpost, , to push the boundaries of what’s possible in a commercial flight by introducing modules onto aircraft — that means instead of only having forward-facing rows, you could have a gym, blow dry bar or pod hotel onboard. If you’re simply sitting on a 2-hour flight for work, why not pass the time with a great workout?

Transpose’s Larry Cheng gets interviewed by ABC Bay Area’s David Louie.

Peloton is committed to innovation, and we are always looking for new ways to reimagine the fitness space. As such, we’re thrilled to be a part of the initial stage of this project as the team tests the concept with passengers, airlines and manufacturers. Peloton already brings fitness to your fingertips — why not bring it to your flight?

So if you find yourself in San Jose Airport, make sure to stop by Gate 18 to get your Peloton workout in before takeoff — and tag your posts with #flightgoals and @PelotonCycle!
