Pagosa Peak Open School (K-8) opened last September and has a good success rate communicating with parents, thanks in part to Flyer. Though their families have access to their student information system’s communication app, Flyer made sense because its ease of use and how well it fits with the school model.

Pagosa Peak is a project-based learning school. They take a lot of trips to Wolf Creek resort, the growing dome, and nearby wilderness camps. They are using their app to schedule and manage the logistics for each project to ensure parents are consistently updated and informed. Without the app, for example, it would be hard to remind parents about the field trip and what the kids will need for the day.

“Teachers feel more secure, parents are happier, and kids stay warm and fed,” says Ursala Hudson, school board director.
