To the “FlyHomes Family” –
I’d like to share a story with you about my college friend, Kaycie, who just closed on her first home purchase. Like many of you, she had dreamed about the idea of investing in a home for years. Unfortunately, I learned this weekend that the home she bought was in Houston — and because of Hurricane Harvey — her entire investment was literally under water just a week after moving in.
Kaycie is just one of the many victims of Hurricane Harvey, and I’m sure several of you share similar stories of someone you know that has been impacted by the storm. Many of us on the FlyHomes team have family and friends who have lost their homes and personal belongings in the hurricane.
As a Texan, born & raised, I must admit that despite the devastation, I’ve never been prouder. The outpouring of support for those in need has been overwhelming. 18 volunteers helped my friend Kaycie and her family clear out their flood damage this weekend, and I have been moved by the stories on social media capturing the brave volunteers who are helping thousands of people begin the long rebuilding process.
FlyHomes Wants to Help.
A few days ago, we had a team meeting to brainstorm how we could help. Although it’s impossible for our team to volunteer after work to help those impacted directly in their home, we are passionate about helping remotely. So we’ve decided to volunteer as a group to do what we know best: helping people win homes.

FlyHomes will donate 100% of its commissions, up to a total of $100,000, to the Harvey Relief Fund, for potential homeowners that signup over the next 7 days and want to help Hurricane Harvey victims.
All potential buyers need to do is text “Harvey” to (206) 202–4224. One of our teammates will reach out to explain the program and then we’ll get to work helping the potential home buyer (and Harvey victims) win a home.
How you can help: We are hoping to share this program far and wide in the Seattle community this week, with the goal of blowing through our initial goals and would love any support you can provide by sharing this in your network. Houses for Harvey Terms:
How it Works: Text “Harvey” to (206) 202–4224 and one of our teammates will reach out to explain the program and our home buying process. We will help you throughout your home buying process, just like we would any other client. Commissions: At closing, FlyHomes will request that all real estate commissions due to FlyHomes, as the Buyer’s Broker be donated to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. Rewards: FlyHomes’ will be donating 100% of commissions to the relief efforts and therefore program participates are not eligible for FlyHomes’ rewards. Cap: FlyHomes’ will donate up to $100,000 in commissions to the Harvey Relief Efforts. Eligibility: New clients in Washington State that sign-up by texting “Harvey” to (206) 202–4224 between 9/6/2017 to 9/13/2017. Current clients or current and former FlyHomes.com users are not eligible for program. Clients working exclusively with another agent or who have toured the potential property with another agent are not eligible for the program. Duration: FlyHomes’ will donate 100% of commissions to the relief effort, for any participant in the program at closing, so long as the participant closes on their home purchase by 1/31/2018.
