First up, Amsterdam.

Now, usually the first things that come to mind when someone mentions Amsterdam are legal marijuana and the Red Light District. But Amsterdam is so, SO much more. Amsterdam is the country’s largest city with an approximate population of 820,000 (city proper). As the country’s financial, cultural, and creative center, it hosts almost 3.4 million tourists a year and the story-book city is built on over 1,000 canals, a total of 1,281 to be exact. Amsterdam is home to some incredible nightlife, amazing museums such as the Ann Frank House and the Rijksmuseum (among many others), the Heineken Experience, Vondelpark, the Keukenhof Gardens and Tulip Fields and so much more.

VS. Berlin.

Berlin is best known for its historical associations as the German capital, for internationalism and tolerance, its lively nightlife, and its many cafés, clubs, bars, and street art; not to mention the numerous museums, palaces, and other sites of historic interest. Many people consider Berlin as one of the coolest cities on the planet. Why you might ask?
