A Flyingcarpet Tour of Asia!
Starting in Tokyo, the Flyingcarpet team joined Token Foundry on a trip through, Hong Kong, Beijing, Seoul, and Shanghai in just two weeks.
It’s no secret these cities are a hotbed for blockchain technology and ideology. Genesis Market Insights recently ranked Asia as the fastest growing market in the global blockchain market (which they predict will quadruple by 2023).
From conference halls to startup hubs, the buzz of anticipation for this growth was palpable. The Flyingcarpet team was lucky to attend a number of larger industry-advancing events, as well as intimate dinners with some of the top thought leaders and contributors in the space.

It was a whirlwind trip through Asia, Tokyo was marked by the concentration of exchanges, Beijing was interesting with the amount of Government affiliations with Blockchain projects and the incredible rate of blockchain adoption in Seoul — which isn’t unexpected due their status as a tech society — however the amount of Korean celebrity endorsements must also be a factor!
