Kusama (KSM) futures trading is coming to FMX!

FMX is glad to introduce the latest listing on our simplified and gamified futures trading platform: Kusama (KSM).

KSM futures contract will be listed on FMX under the ticker KSM/USD, with trading starts from 2021/01/14 12:00 PM (UTC). Users can participate in KSM futures trading on our website, iOS & Android apps.

What is Kusama (KSM)?

Kusama is an experimental blockchain platform that is designed to provide a massively interoperable and scalable framework for developers. Described by many as “the cousin of Polkadot”, Kusama has almost the same codebase as Polkadot — one of the most successful interoperable blockchains.

A key difference between Kusama and Polkadot is that Kusama has modified governance parameters that allow for faster network upgrades, with 7 days to vote on referendums and 8 days to implement those upgrades after a vote. The platform infrastructures include the Relay Chain, the Parachains, and the Bridges, which help facilitate Kusama’s operations, scalability and communication with other blockchains.

The project utilizes its own native token, called KSM, for governance, staking, bonding and paying fees on the network.
