My mother is hands down the most creative person I know. You give her a design of what you’re looking for, and come hell or high water, she’ll have it made. These ‘first day’ mementos of my past were a constant throughout my years in elementary and high school and I think I will always remember her tirelessly assembling them late before the photo would be taken in the morning. A start of a new chapter wouldn't feel the same if not for a seemingly cliché cardboard sign with some writing. So there I sat, the night before classes, except this time I was the one tirelessly assembling.
One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
