As if we needed any more evidence that customer-centric product design is the secret sauce to some of the world’s most successful companies, now InVision is releasing a feature-length documentary to prove it. “Design Disrupters” will open Aug. 1, with screenings around the world before that.

The film was molded by interviews with 90 design leaders from the world’s top design powerhouses, including Airbnb, Twitter, Google Ventures, Pinterest, Dropbox, Facebook, Zendesk, Netflix and Spotify. The filmmakers wanted to show snapshots into these designers’ worlds and explore how they’ve used design to disrupt traditional models and set a new standard, according to Clark Valberg, InVision CEO and the film’s executive producer.

“In Design Disruptors, we’re uncovering what so many of the best companies already know — that the screen is the most important place in the world, and that design has become the new language of business,” Valberg said in a press release. “The user’s experience on that screen has become the new frontline in the battle for the hearts and minds of the consumer.”
