First there are a few things you need to know about me. I am a hobby writer and I don’t want to make myself seem more important than I am — it’s all for fun and I hardly earn anything doing it. And I am rather intelligent — not bragging, it just means that my brain has a preference for logic — but I also suffer from OCD, which is a difficult combination, especially when encountering obstacles that do not really make sense and are out of my control.

Doowit, Checkit & Fixit

I see my head as a house and in that house lives a character named Logic and his three dogs: Doowit, Checkit and Fixit — these are the three separate forms of my OCD. They probably have all been part of me since I was born, but they were dormant for a long time, although Doowit was silently pushing me to get things done.

Checkit was woken by my mother many years ago. She used to have a clothing store and the entrance was also the front door of our house. It didn’t lock automatically when it closed, unlike most front doors. Whenever I left the house outside opening hours, my mother always told me to make sure the door was locked.
