Aging is not just an increase in a number but a decline in the cellular functions. It takes place at cellular level. Human body has chromosomes that contain telomeres. Telomeres are DNA sequences that are associated with the aging process. These telomeres get shorter and shorter, every time a cell divides. A time comes when these cells are unable to divide and the cells are unable to repair themselves leading to weaker cells.

No, aging is a natural process. It is neither a disease nor an anomaly. However, unhealthy life style like drinking alcohol, poor sleep and several illnesses accelerate the aging process. Progeroid and Down syndrome are examples of some of the disorders that greatly accelerate the aging process.

Anti-aging foods are those that slow down the aging process. As aging is a natural process, it can’t be stopped but slowed down. Nature has provided us with some quality foods that have potential to slow down aging. These foods are full of:
