The Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition has just surfaced on Geekbench. This variant of the device includes 8GB of RAM, and it ships with Android 10. The exact SoC model has not been mentioned, but it seems like we’re looking at the Snapdragon 865.

The Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition Geekbench scores are available, but this is a pre-production unit

This handset has managed to score 900 points in the single-core test on Geekbench, while it scored 3,251 points in the multi-core test. Do not pay much attention to those Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition Geekbench scores, though. This is a pre-production unit.

This is not the first time we’re hearing of the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition. The company’s executive sent a post via Weibo using this device, and that was the first time it was spotted.

The Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition will probably just be a variant of the Redmi K30 Pro. The Redmi K30 Pro will become official on March 24 in China. We’re still not sure what the difference is between the two devices.

The ‘Zoom Edition’ branding seems to suggest some differences in the camera department. Is it possible that the ‘Zoom Edition’ will include a periscope-style camera setup? Well, that’s one option, as the regular model will not.

Other than the camera-related differences, we believe that the two phones will be identical. The Redmi K30 Pro will be different than its siblings, the Redmi K30.

The Redmi K30 was announced at the end of last year, and it includes a pill-shaped camera hole. Well, the Redmi K30 Pro will not include such a display core, nor a display notch for that matter.

The ‘Pro’ model will include a pop-up selfie camera

The device will include a pop-up selfie camera, and thus no obstructions on the display. This is a similar approach to what the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro brought to the table.

The Redmi K30 Pro will also include a different camera module on the back. It will include four cameras, with two of them in each row. The Redmi K30 features vertically-aligned cameras on the back.

The Redmi K30 Pro is expected to include LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage. The phone will ship with Android 10, on top of which you’ll be able to find Xiaomi’s MIUI 11 skin.

A large battery is also expected, along with fast charging. The phone probably will not support wireless charging, and the same goes for reverse wireless charging.

This smartphone will probably feature a 6.67-inch fullHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. It’s also quite possible that we’ll get more than one RAM variant of the device, as both 8GB and 12GB RAM models are expected.
