RPS turns 20

Well, not really. The 20 represents the products that we have brought to life through our RockPaperScissors Methodology since its inception just a little over 2 years ago.

As product developers, it’s great to see how our own products have grown and evolved over time. Not one project has been the same and all have tested us to the limits of skill, wit or thinking in some way or another. Every project highlights cracks in the process, that in turn inspire a better way to do things.

With our RockPaperScissors process constantly evolving and improving, it has been fascinating to learn the elements that remain consistent. The value of the process proves time and time again that:

1.Preparation is paramount
2. Solutions need real problems
3. Better to be a specialist than a generalist
4. Your idea is nowhere close to being the best version of itself yet
5. Ideas are fragile

Walt Disney famously quoted, “Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.”

I feel that same way about RockPaperScissors. As long as people are brave enough to make their dreams become a reality, there will be a need for a process that tests and strengthens their ideas.
