Font Pair is getting ready to flex 💪
New website, social media posts, logos, and articles coming soon
Since it’s inception, Font Pair has been a side project that has helped creators pair Google fonts together by giving them suggested font pairings. People online have shared Font Pair with their friends as a helpful resource when choosing fonts for a design project. This makes me so happy.
However, I want Font Pair to be more.
I want Font Pair to become the place designers, developers, and online creators think of when they think of beautiful open-source typography. I want Font Pair to be a valuable resource to the design community. That is the goal I am striving for now.
In order to achieve this goal there are some massive changes that need to happen. Here below are a few things you can expect to see happening in the next month. Get pumped Internet!
New website coming soon

fontpair.co hasn’t changed since it was created back in 2015. It’s time for a fresh coat of paint. The new Font Pair website will be faster, easier to use, and include better ways to choose a font pair that works for your needs.
Social media channels turning up
Early on when I realized Font Pair was getting shared more and more I grabbed the @fontpair social media handles. I’m glad I did because the channels slowly gained followers on each account without much posting. This means one thing: people want Font Pair to share. Starting next week the Font Pair Twitter and Facebook accounts will be posting typography and font pairing resources daily. Based on the feedback I get through these accounts I will decide what the Instagram account should post. Right now I’m considering posting font pairs that are aggregated from around the design community. Regardless, I want the social media accounts to be on top of the latest news in the typography and design communities.
Logo, logo, logo!

Font Pair has never had a logo. I’ve been playing around with a logo designs. If you follow our social media accounts you can see one of the designs I’ve been playing around with. I’m not sure the direction to go but you can expect Font Pair to have a new logo soon.
More writing to come
I think it’s important to share updates about Font Pair and where the platform is going. Medium will be the place for these updates. I also have a few ideas that I want to write about typography and more specifically font pairing. I think it would be cool if Font Pair did interviews with open-source type designers and larger figures in the design community. All with the laser focus to create resources that help people pair fonts together and become better designers!
