Aidan was a Senior Chef de Partie in some of the top Michelin starred restaurants of the world. Specialising in Pastry, Aidan graced the kitchens of Gidleigh Park, a two Michelin starred country restaurant in the charming UK town of Devon and of course the iconic Dinner by Heston both in London and Melbourne.
We all know that Melbourne’s Dinner by Heston closed down shop in February 2020, just prior to the first Melbourne lockdown, leaving the team of talented chefs off to fend for themselves in the wake of a global pandemic. With no pastry chef jobs in sight as Melbourne’s hospitality scene turned off its lights, Aidan reinvented himself from Chef de Partie to Chic de Partie.
After pastry, Aidan’s second love is fashion, hence the name ‘Chic de Partie’, to combine both his love of being a chef and always dressing fabulously. Chic de Partie was started in Aidan’s study-turned-kitchen as soon as it dawned on him that full time employment may not be an option for him in the near future.
