Keto and Intermittent Fasting.

3 mistakes. Why not everyone gets to have six pack abs.

I’ve just had a surgery yesterday, minor, dental — recovered so fast I crashed a leg workout today before 7 AM (Watch it here).

I’m so very much into keto and intermittent fasting (IF)!

I’ve been doing keto and fasting for ages now.

Of course it’s not always been easy and perfect — far from it!

Only now the science delivers us more or less good data about how to do it right and what mistakes to avoid for maximum health benefits, maximum energy, to treat different metabolic conditions, inflammation related conditions, blood sugar issues.

It’s been a journey for me, definitely! Now I am finally feeling like I got it! Like I really know how to succeed — my consistent practice keeps giving me rewards that I discover daily.

I feel awesome.

I look awesome an better every day — getting ready for Sports Model Competition couldn’t be more enjoyable, keeping in mind, that it’s still a competition and requires some serious physical and mental work.

I perform so well — better and better. I fail, I fall, I break — I’m still human — but I get back to it so fast now — it’s mind-boggling.

I had a dental surgery yesterday, my tooth was extracted, my gum was opened up — but I still felt awesome through the whole journey and haven’t skipped a single workout!

Well, ok, maybe it wasn’t the best experience ever — it was still a surgery- but I didn’t feel like I had to take time off, maybe taking it a little bit slower, that’s it. (I’m definitely happy I didn’t follow doctor’s advice to knock myself out with anti-biotics eating mashed potatoes and yogurt)

But this whole post is about just one thing — to get the full benefits, and in most cases any benefits from keto and IF you got to:

Do it right

Do it consistently

Give it some time to work

You can read on the internet about keto lifestyle, about intermittent fasting so many good things!

Fat loss, increased energy, hunger and cravings free life, healing, reversing of diabetes and other metabolic/inflammatory conditions, increased mental and physical performance, better sleep and less need for sleep and recovery — and these are all true, provided you:

Do it right

Do it consistently

Give it some time to work

Have you ever asked yourself a question,

“Cool, it all sounds amazing, fat loss, six pack abs without “even trying”, more energy, better mood, increased performance, reversing of degenerative and chronic conditions — but why there aren’t so many actual six pack abs owners? Why there are very few examples of keto/intermittent fasting people, who look awesome and when you see, hear, watch them — you just want to do what they do, run with them, follow every piece of their advice and practice? They look superhuman — you definitely want at least a piece of that for yourself!”

You know why?

Do it right

Do it consistently

Give it some time to work

Most people mess up, like with many other diets and lifestyles, one or the other, and then they wonder, why it’s working barely or half way, or not at all.

And because keto and IF lifestyles are quite against the crowd culture, the mass culture that is fed to us, because it goes against what our culture promotes and advertisers — it’s a really different lifestyle that does set you apart — it takes some serious work, and if on top of that you don’t see the benefits you expect — motivation goes down really fast, and you usually get back exactly where you started. Believing it’s just another fad diet.

But why didn’t it work?

Do it right

Do it consistently

Give it some time to work

Why not all people have six pack abs on keto and if?

Besides the reasons mentioned above?

You just f*cking eat too much!

Not matter what “miracle” diet you follow, you can’t eat unlimited amount of food for six pack abs. Even if you eat once a day religiously nothing but fat — you can eat so much that your six pack will never appear and you end up feeling like sh*t.

Not only you can’t “just wing it” on keto and IF, if you want to get all the benefits, awesome energy, looks, mental and physical performance, if you want to really work on your looks, you got to work on your macros, calories, quality of food. (Read details in this post).

Do it right

Do it consistently

Give it some time to work

I’m still learning, even after years of the lifestyle, even after reading every study, every good book that comes out — I’m still learning, from my self-experiments, from the people I help, from clients. So chances are — you don’t know how to do it perfectly too, but what’s even worse, you are not ready to give it time to work doing it consistently, and that’s why you’ll most probably never understand what keto and IF is all about and why some “freaks” like me are totally in love with the lifestyle and the life it gives you, when you commit to it.

Do it right

Do it consistently

Give it some time to work
