If you have been on an aircraft before, you notice that the flight attendant will advise you to put your mask on if the cabin loses pressure.

However, they tell you to do it first before helping others. But why? Should you help children first?

Always put your own mask on first before helping others because, by the time you’ve helped everybody else, you may not know how to help yourself.

The same thing goes for your health my journey to lose 80 kg and getting my life back was fix me first approach.

This might sound selfish like the emergency measure on board a flight but if you don’t look after yourself first how can you look after anyone else or expect others to look after you.

I went to a 21st where they were doing pizzas so I took my fat head pizza to eat. Instead of feeling guilty or hiding it I embraced it and offered pieces around this strengthens the experience and connects people in your journey — They loved it.

Fathead Pizza

Since going #LCHF #Keto lifestyle one of the biggest changes would be my meal plan and figuring out in advance and learning the science to have the capacity to adjust not just eat junk.

For so long people with eating, issues have buried their emotions to overeat or starve themselves to hide away from the truth of what’s going on eating disorders are the symptoms of bigger underlying issue’s.

We eat to feed our emotional state not to fuel our body once you understand thathen the rest is clear.

I started to work on me the weight just dropped off, and I was getting healthy from the inside out and from the top down.

I focus on meals 1–2 days ahead and what my exercise routine will be and how that fits around my family by being conscious of all our needs are all met and everybody is happy.

You need encouragement from your family and I have had wonderful support from my wife and daughter through this.

I exercise to get mind fit not to lose weight I was a junior road & track cycling winner in the NT when I was young; I have missed it for so many years but now back on the bike doing up to 260km a week to and from work; it gives me mindfulness.

I completed a 115 km #swissepeoplesride 4.5 hrs on the bike it was tough but my mental state was in a good place it felt good. Next is the #Great Ocean Otway Classic Ride 146 km maybe 6 hrs in the saddle but what I’ve gone through in recent years it’s a challenge I’m willing to endure.

There are still challenges and I will receive opinions about why I’m not fun anymore because I don’t consume 10 beers at the football or how I can sit there and not eat when others are eating with no alternative that’s eating at your emotions (pardon the pun) you have to move past that it’s what got you there in the first place.

So now I have placed my mask on I’m helping others and it continues to astonish me the difference in individuals by just reducing sugar and carbohydrates.
