Food Safety is Complex. We simplify it.

Would you eat beef from your local Chipotle Restaurant today? Many are waiting to gain back trust of their Chipotle. And food Service providers everywhere are taking labor intensive steps to manage and track the meat from source to customer. Meat contamination can happen at many stages in the process — from shipping, to the refrigerated warehouses to where food is served at restaurants.

Why Speckl?

Today keeping meat safe for food service providers is labor intensive and time consuming — checking by hand stove top temperatures, and figuring out if and where bacteria may be in meat at any point in the chain. Imagine a way for food service providers to automate the checking and tracking of temperatures and bacteria — a food safety system, simplified.

The Speckl Collective

It’s a comprehensive group of products for a foolproof system improving food safety for food service providers.

1) Specklwear: A hand sanitizing Apron — a UV light that quickly cleans the users hands as they put them into their pockets.

2) Specklstat: a thermostat to monitor warehouse microclimates. The speckstat learns with the user and updates data and shows in simple form.

3) Speckllight: a stove light with infrared light & spectrometry to monitor stove temperatures and bacteria in the meat. The light will turn color if it detects bacteria.

So What?

The data from each of these sources is tracked and automatically recorded, updated and simply communicated to the food service manager continuously through the online dashboard. Speckl is a new way to keep meat safe in the complex chain from source to food service provider to customer. Let Speckl do the thinking so customers regain confidence in their meat again.
