Cutting Calories at a Barbecue? Impossible!
Who goes to a barbecue to be on a diet? There is no way to cut calories at a BBQ! Or is there?
There is a quote or a song lyric that says “impossible things happen everyday”. Living in Texas USA, means that your middle name is “barbecue”. (Where all my Texans AT?) When there’s a party or a church fellowship or dining out or anything food-related with a lot of people, 99% of the time BBQ is being served. What is the barbecue brisket, pork, chicken, etc. served with? Lots of low calorie foods like potato salad and sweet baked beans. So when I came across this food blog post about cutting calories at a barbecue, I’m like: “Somebody’s got a sense of humor.”
However, jokes aside, the guilt-free healthy eating tips make good sense. So a healthy barbecue feast is not impossible after all.
