Celebrating Five Years of Foossa

Dear Friends,

We hope that 2018 is bringing you adventures and opportunities. We have now officially entered the lunar Year of the Dog, which symbolizes sincerity, loyalty, and curiosity.

This year is also the fifth anniversary of the founding of Foossa. We could not have made it this far without you, our friends, clients, and supporters. We sincerely thank you for your loyalty and and support.

Looking forward to the next five years, we are re-articulating our mission to help organizations with their journeys of creative and strategic transformation to face these times of uncertainty and disruption. We are growing our service design practice to help governments and companies reimagine existing services and build new ones that better serve the needs of their constituents. With our training and facilitation practice, we are helping teams build the capacity and creative cross-training necessary to build responsiveness and creative problem solving skills for the future.

Back to the here and now, here are some of our exciting updates. What are you working on?

David Colby Reed joined fellow CEOs from companies like Apple, AirBnB, LinkedIn, and Amazon in an open letter to Congress to urge them to act immediately to protect Dreamers with bipartisan legislation. The letter was also published in the New York Times and the Washington Post. Learn more and see the full list of co-signers here.

David will be splitting his time between New York and Boston this spring as a cohort member of the Assembly program at the Berkman Klein Center at Harvard and the MIT Media Lab. This year the cohort is comprised of twenty participants representing the private sector, academia, and civil society organizations. Their task? To work on the emerging problems within artificial intelligence and its governance. Learn more.

Lee-Sean will be speaking at the Designing for Digital conference in Austin, Texas March 5–7, 2018. Designing for Digital is meant to bring together UX professionals, web designers, managers, researchers, strategists and librarians of all types to examine the current user’s experience of the library and design the future of libraries in the modern, digital world.
