Wisdom Hackers Reboot

How might ancient wisdom help us make sense of our messy modern society? Wisdom Hackers is a global collective of writers exploring big questions about the world in which we live. I am an author in the collective and has contributed an essay on “The Thinking Body.” My partner David Colby Reed and I are also stewards of the Wisdom Hackers community.

We have recently re-released the Wisdom Hackers anthology to reach new audiences. Subscribe to Wisdom Hackers on The Pigeonhole to receive a fresh essay from us in your inbox every two days.

Visual Storytelling Workshop

Join me and Be Social Change on Monday, May 23rd from 7PM to 9PM for Visual Storytelling: Foundational Skills of Digital Communication & Design.

Visual Storytelling is a broad term that encompasses how we tell stories and convey information visually, whether that is through designing a flyer, poster, website, or data visualization, or producing a video. Contemporary computers and mobile devices make it easier than ever for us to tell our stories visually. This course is an introduction for non-designers and people with limited visual storytelling experience to gain a basic understanding of how to more effectively communicate visually.

We will cover the basic principles of visual communications like focus, hierarchy, composition, the law of thirds, and more. We will start to train our eyes to better understand the visual storytelling that surrounds us, and a leave with resources to help us continue our learning.

Learn more and register here. Use code Huang25 for 25% off. We also have one full scholarship available. To apply for the scholarship, please email us at hello@foossa.com with a short explanation of your interest and need.
