‘Big Sam’ is bookies favourite to land the Everton role

Farhad Moshiri has formally discussed the Everton with Sam Allardyce according to Sky Sports.

According to reports Farhad is still uncertain over who exactly he wants at the helm for the foreseeable future. It is thought that if Big Sam were to be offered the position it would be on a similar contract to that which David Moyes accepted with West ham and would only see him take charge until the end of the season.

It is thought that Moshiri has his eye on some of Europe's top managers to fill the position but as yet there has been no concrete movement from the Everton board.

Sean Dyche is currently 2nd favourite with the bookies

If Sky Sports sources are to be believed then Sean Dyche who has been the Burnley manager for the past five years is currently top of Farhad’s list although it is unlikely that Burnley will let their manager leave without a fight.

Current Interim Manager David Unsworth

Current interim manager and Everton Legend David Unsworth is another name in the hat after the caretaker boss picked up his first win at the weekend. So far Unsworth has been in charge for four games, three of which ended in defeat for the toffees but an inspired team talk when they trailed 2–0 against Watford saw his side come back to win the game 3–2 in dramatic fashion and pick up their first win under the caretaker boss.

The Everton board are expected to use the International break to sit down with some potential candidates and hopefully make a decision on who will be in-charge for the foreseeable future.
