A Single Drop of Water

The awe of it all

It was a cold winter’s morning, icicles were everywhere.

Later as the sun came out to play, I noticed they were melting away.

I was on a mission to capture its essence before it faded for the day.

I find the “awe” in water. It is comprised of two molecules of hydrogen and one molecule of oxygen (H2O) bonded for all life forms forever.

Though it contains no calories or actual food value it is vital as the air we breathe.

I am awestruck by its vastness, its movement, its texture, and smells.

And though large bodies terrify me, I find awe in that as well.
