Four Seasons in the Sky

The sky is my cathedral.

The sky is my cathedral
And the clouds my panacea
They dance across the heavens
In their celestial arena.

Up in the wide blue yonder
Storm clouds blossom in the sky
Then blacken and send raindrops
Accompanied by a thunderous cry.

In the heat of summer
The sky simmers like a cauldron
The silver sands shimmer with heat
Far too hot to ever walk on.

Then autumn comes and cools the air
Golden leaves fall from the trees
And light clouds fleet across the blue
And drop the centigrade degrees.

Then winter comes the days are short
The nights long cold and dark
Nere a whisper heard up in the trees
Save the night song of the lark.

Then the seasons reach the equinox
The jonquils perfume pervades the air
Blossoms bloom and decorate
And flowers burst out everywhere.

Spring has sprung across the land
And pollens float freely adrift
Bees set to work and cross-pollinate
And love is too good to resist.

Up in the sky the seasons
Are mirrored in the atmosphere
By the wind the rain-snow sleet and clouds
On cue are here then disappear.
