Israel, the United States, and the Systematic Genocide of the Palestinian People

Since 1948, Israel has claimed its right to exist. The United States has continually backed this right. During his last days in office, President Bush said, “Israel has a right to defend itself.” This statement has been endlessly repeated by his successors. This right has been backed up by American military hardware, economic aid, intelligence sharing, and turning a blind eye to Israel’s efforts to eradicate not just the territorial integrity of the Palestinian state, but the Palestinian people as well.

The attack on Israel on October 7, 2024 was a terrorist attack. It is important, however, to recognize that the attack didn’t originate in a vacuum. As President Obama once said,

“When you treat people differently, bad things happen.”

On that day, Israel found itself up against the ropes by an enemy it had long viewed as inferior. The attack was atrocious; that is not deniable. Over 1,200 people were murdered. It was the bloodiest day for Jews since the Holocaust. Not even during the Independence and Yom Kippur wars did Israel suffer such a loss in a single day. What Israel has done in retaliation, however, has been far worse.

One estimate on the current Palestinian dead, delivered by the Hamas-led Gaza Health Ministry, stands at over 36,000. Many of them have been women and children. Israel is shooting fish in a barrel; it is using the attack of October 7 as an excuse to reclaim its ancient borders. Israel and its’ supporters may still tow the “self-defense” line, but it cannot hide genocide. Maybe the Palestinians, the Iranians, the South Africans, the Swiss, the Irish, the Spanish, the Norwegians, the United Nations, and the International Criminal Court are all delusional. Perhaps, it would be better if Netanyahu and Biden referred the case to Lucifer.

History must not only remember what Israel has done, but it must also remember that the United States has been behind it all: every bomb, every artillery shell, every mine, every bullet, every dead wife, every eviscerated daughter, every shattered son, and every destroyed home. This is despite the United States not having been attacked by Palestine. One is reminded of the mass, unmarked graves of the Native Americans. America, since 1948, has done everything in its power to ensure that the Palestinians join them. Both Democratic and Republican Presidents have praised this ethnic cleansing.

Unless the rest of the world intervenes, the genocidal plans concocted in Jerusalem and Washington will result in the extermination of the Palestinian state and the Palestinian people.

For the Jewish-Americans reading this, where is your heart? Where is your soul? Your fellow co-religionists are committing mass murder.

For any Arab-Americans reading this, whether you are in Newark or LA, open your eyes, ears, and hearts, for the earth drinks daily of the blood of your tortured brothers and violated sisters.
