I believe storytelling can heal the world when we create safe space for people to share their voice.
At it’s core For Women Who Roar is a storytelling media platforms elevating the voices and experiences of womxn through our digital platform, print publication, seasonal podcast, and events . We are creating a movement that empowers women to share their stories through storytelling, creativity, and collaboration.
In less then a year since the launch of FWWR, we have cultivated a global community of over 140k roaring womxn from all over the world actively engaged in our brand and message.
What does this mean? It means there is a hunger for authentic storytelling.
More than ever, women long to be heard in a society that has tried to muffle them. Women who have known sexual violence as a form of flattery. Women who were told their body wasn’t good enough and doubted their potential. Women who felt like their mental illness was something they had to hide in order to be loved or respected. Women of color whose experiences were invalidated and appropriated. Women who some don’t identify as women and hide in fear of being truly seen. Women in business that felt like that could never get ahead because their idea’s weren’t being heard. The list goes on and on.
