Me at DevCon V, Osaka

We have finished our first DevCon during Japan Blockchain Week. Let’s summarize.

Staking

Dom (Solana), Adrian (Cryptium Labs), Eric (Solana), Kwun (Forbole), Illia (NEAR Protocol) and Florian (Staking Facilities)

We kicked off our Japan trip with a panel on staking at Node Tokyo. This was a special panel consisted of two blockchains (Solana and NearProtocol) and three experienced validators (Cryptium, Staking Facilities and Forbole). We have covered some interesting and controversial topics such as price war, competition from exchanges, the role of validators and KYC.

Cosmos

JK (Stake.fish), Ryan (Everett), Kwun (Forbole), Jeeuk (Node A-Team), Riccardo (Commercio), Haifeng (IRISnet) and Dogemos

What do you think about the seven months after Cosmos Launch? We have discussed this during the first ever Cosmos Guardian meetup with Stake.fish, Everett, Node A-Team, IRISnet, Commercio.network and moderated by Josh a.k.a Dogemos. In fact, I would also count Stake Capital and Sikka as they have joined the panel from the sideline.

Desmos

Kwun talked about the features of Desmos

During the Cosmos Guardian meetup, we finally had a chance to present our latest project Desmos to a larger Cosmos community from all over the world. Desmos is an attempt to bootstrap a new social network tokenomics through the simplest form of social networking: microblogging.

We are collecting your indicative interests in Desmos. Please fill-in this simple form to help us to plan better.

Solana

Eric talked about the validators community of Solana in SOLCON

We have had a great time with Solana’s community as well. We have attended the first SOLCON. Thanks for organizing these wonderful events.

IOV

Congratulations to the mainnet launch of IOV! We were one of its ten genesis validators and the launch was so smooth! Both IOV and Forbole share the same vision to bring blockchain to mainstream users. This is the reason why we are here.

“How do you choose which blockchains to stake?”

This is a common question to us as a validator. As validator, there is a subtle balance between diversification of our staking portfolio and the efficiency of our manpower.

We cannot focus on all the crazy stuff in blockchain space. At our current scale, I think we will spend most of our resources on blockchains that are powered by Tendermint (most of them are often regarded as Cosmos Network ecosystem chains) or Solana.

We are an experienced validator who are addicted to building tools people love to use. That’s why we built Big Dipper and then Desmos. We enjoy interacting with end users. This makes us special in validators community.

By working with all the above great teams, we are confident that we will become a great startup too.
