We have just launched the beta of Forbole Referral Network (“FRN beta”). We want to show our audiences a different mindset to build professional connections.

Importance of word-of-mouth

Word-of-mouth referrals are crucial to the success of our business and career. In some cases, this is more effective than both inbound or outbound marketing. By making a recommendation of a person, or refer a business/career opportunity to her, you are supporting and helping this person to grow.

If a person has a group of trusted connections who will give her recommendations and referrals continuously, her business and career will no longer be the same.

How to get more recommendations and referrals? Give first.

FRN: tokenizing attributes of trust

Normally, we only recommend the people we trust. In other words, during the process of making a recommendation or referral, some attributes of trust have been generated. The objective of FRN is to tokenize these attributes of trust to become portable digital assets. This measure can vitalize a community of trusted professional network.

Furthermore, we want to make this a decentralized social network in order to remove the corruption of centralized social networks (online) and business associations (offline). FRN will be a decentralized business fraternity, as described in the Whitepaper of Project Forbole.

FRN beta

On FRN beta, a user can invite another person to join by giving a recommendation of her with endorsed skills. User can then refer opportunity to another connected user. All these engagements will be recorded in terms of a score which we call “Contribution Score” as these have contributed to the growth of FRN as a social network.

We understand these are not easy tasks. At this early stage, we weigh quality against quantity. In practice, this kind of business referral groups is successful with proven track record. Imagine what can be done in a business referral group of nine professionals as shown in this demonstration.

Be a giver of recommendation and referrals of opportunity.
