Script of Forbole’s pitch at Demo Day of AppWorks

Hello everyone, my name is Terence, and I am the co-founder of Forbole. Forbole is one of the leading validators of decentralized internet. Do you know that the current internet is controlled by a few centralized servers? Once something goes wrong with the central control, the whole system goes down. In order to mitigate this risk, decentralized internet is a network of blockchains which is secured by validators across the globe.
Forbole is a pioneer in blockchain validation. We operate secure and stable nodes, ensuring the safety of data and asset on blockchain, as well as improving their return.
One of our most prominent examples is Cosmos. The mainnet of Cosmos just launched in March 2019. With a market cap of over NT$ 50 billion, “Atoms”, which is the native token on Cosmos, is ranked top 13 of the world’s most valuable and one of the most note-worthy cryptos in the market at the moment.
To help various market participants to observe Cosmos easily and effectively, we have built “Big Dipper”, the first real-time block explorer on Cosmos. Big Dipper has won wide acclaim and received an award from Cosmos’ hackathon. In the past 2 months after the launch of Cosmos, more than ten thousand unique visitors from over 120 countries have visited Big Dipper.
As a validator, we have a unique edge. We are the validators and contributors since the early stage of Cosmos, and have won awards in two competitions on Cosmos. They are our track records to attract stake delegators and this has strengthened our leading position as a validator. Meanwhile, Big Dipper has helped us gain traction in the Cosmos community and brought us more web traffic and visibility in the space. These two factors reinforce each other and have formed a virtuous cycle.
All our hard work in the past year has brought us the recognition from the Cosmos team, its investors, and the community, which are reflected by the increasing number of delegated stakes we have received. Today, we have climbed to the 12th position among the 157 Cosmos validators all over the world.
All the achievements mentioned above is just a beginning. We would be able to replicate our formula in other blockchains. We are already validating Irisnet and Terra. Together with Cosmos, the market value of our total delegated stakes on these three blockchains have exceeded NT$ 700 million. Currently, we are studying eight other blockchains to create more income sources.
A new and decentralized internet of blockchains will be disrupting the current internet, which will surely bring us lots and lots of opportunities.
