Liu Yang 刘洋 lives in Cheniandian Hutong 车辇店胡同 in the Drum Tower district of Beijing. He is 28 years old and owns a small vintage camera shop. He came to Beijing from a small town in Henan in 2006 to start his business. “Spring Cameras” is located in a small complex next to the hutong where he lives. Liu Yang loves making portraits of his friends and shooting at rock concerts. “Taking pictures is my release,” he told me.
