Enjin’s JumpNet — What does it mean for Forest Knight?
Enjin created a big buzz today by announcing JumpNet, their Ethereum scalability solution, and as a partner and Early Adopter of Enjin technology, we are extremely proud and happy for the whole team.
But what exactly does JumpNet mean for Forest Knight?
Let’s jump right into it and discuss what JumpNet will unlock for the game and what we are planning to do with it.
What is JumpNet?
JumpNet is a private version of the Ethereum blockchain with a Proof of Authority (PoA) method of consensus, enabling instant, secure, and gasless on-chain transactions.
In its first iteration, JumpNet will launch with all of the core mechanics necessary for a great blockchain experience:
- Move Enjin Coin from Ethereum to JumpNet
- Send and receive Enjin Coin and ERC-1155 tokens for free
- Mint ERC-1155 tokens for free
- Trade ERC-1155 tokens for free
- Distribute Enjin Coin and ERC-1155 tokens via QR codes for free
- Automatically distribute ERC-1155 tokens from your app or game for free

How can Forest Knight benefit from JumpNet?
As we all know Ethereum Gas prices are insanely high right now, and this leads to limiting us on many planned and existing features. Lately, due to these gas fees, we’ve had to impose a Blockchain Item transfer stop — this is not fun for anybody. Of course, we started focusing on improving the gameplay while waiting for a better solution that will help the game in the long term.
JumpNet is the starting shot of our year of NFT. We have many NFT related features in the pipeline and the combination of Ethereum, JumpNet, and later Efinity will allow us to push for the best blockchain gaming experience for you guys. Then the company philosophy stays as it is: “Gaming First!”
Blockchain Merge
Merge mechanics is one of the core features of the game. Players can merge their hard-earned weapons and items together to create even stronger ones. We already teased the blockchain Merge in the game for longer and we will be happy to introduce it shortly after the JumpNet launch. The Merge mechanic will be the main item creation source on the JumpNet. You players will decide by your actions what new items land on JumpNet and of course later back on Ethereum.
All the Merge results will be NFTs with dynamic stats based on their merge level. This will create a whole new Item ecosystem for the game where Armory masters like you can provide the market with strong and improved equipment.
Blockchain Item Transfers
Item transfers are going to be much faster and cheaper on JumpNet. This should be obvious. But not all items are going to land on JumpNet immediately. Items that were minted on the Ethereum blockchain (all current assets) will remain on Ethereum for now, until there is a bridge to JumpNet available when Efinity goes live. We don’t want to have 2 versions of the same item.
We want to keep the items unique to themselves and not confuse players with different versions of the same item, depending on what chain they are on.
This means we will soon unlock the item transfer system where players can pay the gas fee of the transfer with in-game Currency “Transfer Potion” and receive their desired item in FT/NFT form to their Wallet. We want to give the players to choose for themselves if they want the item right now, due to high market demand or anything else.
Early Supporter Rewards
Do not worry our fellow knight! We did not forget you. To celebrate the launch of JumpNet we are planning to Mint 3 initial Weapons carved out of the empty winter chests many of you Knights own by the same goblins, who opened them back then.
All Winter Chest holders will be eligible for these rewards, with the exact reward dependent on the amount of chests they possess. More info on those rewards coming soon!

NFT is our Focus
NFTs were once the reason why I (Behfar) decided to enter the Blockchain Gaming market and went to the Enjin booth in Berlin to learn more about it and pitched my Game to them. This is still the vision for me and for the company — and I am planning to discover more of the NFT world and not just be a follower, but actively “Buidl” in this space. Expect more fun features powered by NFTs like Pets, Crafting, etc. coming to the game.
