Foresting x Viewo Hackathon in Tel Aviv
It’s been a busy week for Foresting who’ve been in Tel Aviv for their eagerly awaited Hackathon Event with Viewo. The event, which took place on Sunday night, saw programmers and blockchain enthusiasts code until late into Sunday night with participants battling it out to win one of the 3 grand prizes, worth a combined $6,000 USD.
The task at hand was to develop a Dapp based on the PTON Economy smart contract. After hours of coding, Josh Somika, Tsur Yohananov, Lioz Balki and Shlomi Dagmi came away in first place with $3,000. Walking away in second place with $2,000 was Hod Yehezkel and Nadav Benshimon while Yair Itzhaik came in third, bagging $1,000. A special mention should also go to Hosam Mazawi for his outstanding efforts on the night.
The stunning 1947 TLV Event House made the perfect backdrop for the event. Attendees enjoyed delicious Israeli and Korean food and drinks and there were plenty of well-needed breaks for the coders to network and mingle, while giving their brains a rest from the coding session.
Foresting really made the most of their trip to Tel Aviv and took every opportunity to bridge the gap between South Korea and Israel’s blockchain spheres. After the event, the panel of directors interviewed some of the talented participants to join their app development team.
In addition to this, they also signed an MOU with their new Israeli foreign representative company, Viewo.
