Can I get some noodle with that sauce?
A dish of carmelized vegetables in a tomato sauce resembled the comfort of Grandpapa’s spaghetti.
In the place of slippery noodles to slurp, however, were slices of crunchy crusted baguette to dip.
And dip I did.
Biting into a small Italian kitchen, I left this vegetarian Spanish tapas place for just a moment, while I remembered the glorious food I enjoyed while in Florence.
Then the slightly spicy kick brought me right back as I took a sip of my crisp white wine.
A very satisfying evening. No lingering guilt, no unsatisfied expectations, just what it needed to be.
