Chainfuel Updates

The core Formosa Financial team has been busy grinding on the project: building the platform, preparing to interact with new markets (e.g., by preparing translations our or materials into different languages), meeting with first wave clients, continuing to solidify our banking and regulatory relationships, etc. and during this time Chainfuel’s help in answering questions and curating positive conversation across our social media platforms has been a great help of our community managements.

After a month of working together, Formosa Financial and Chainfuel have taken in all the feedback, made adjustments on both sides, and we’re happy to begin month two with a transition to new community managers in the Telegram group as well as adding new team members to our social media team to help build out and manage our other social media channels as we expect an influx of new members post-exchange listings.

The new Chainfuel team members are:

Milos:

“For the past 4 years, I have been working as a freelance writer with gaming and tech being my main focus of work. Through these, I came across crypto a few years back and my interest in it grew along with its popularity. I made a full transition to crypto in mid-2017 and now I am promoting the space through my work. As a sign of support to the whole community, I set up a few mining rigs as well that are currently contributing to the Ethereum network.”

Jessica:

“I have been involved in cryptocurrency since 2016, I have attended several conferences around the world and continue to do so on a regular basis. I left my previous job to pursue my passion, and I now work full time on only blockchain and crypto based projects. From 2016, up until now, I have done more ICO work than anything else, but I have also managed a pool, managed small telegram and whatsapp groups, done blockchain based TX ID audits, traveled to conferences on behalf of people and helped set up meet ups. I have a great passion for cryptocurrency and blockchain, I strongly believe in the revolution, and extremely happy to be apart of the future.”

Benny:

Benny was a private banker for 10yrs before venturing out into management consulting for companies. He used to manage a full fledge digital agency for 8 years, that specialised in generating leads, and restructuring and transforming clients’ brand identities. Benny’s last stint was Offline Head of Sales & Country Manager for a startup which received US$57.5million in funding. He ventured into ICO Advisory and fund raising 3 years ago, and his time now is spent on ICO related ventures.

Devin:

“Hello everyone, my name Devin, and I am one of the new community managers at Chainfuel, currently based in Houston, Texas in the USA. I’ve worked in the realm of community management and social media management for companies within the blockchain space for the last year, helping multiple pre- and post-ICO projects successfully manage and grow their communities. Previously, I worked as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry. I’m looking forward to working with everyone involved in the project!”

Stefan:

Stefan is a scientist by training, but found himself in the business process outsourcing sector applying a scientific solution to concerns in business.

Taking the supervisory and management experiences he gained from the BPO sector, Stefan is now an avid online entrepreneur who focuses on online business systems while enjoying traveling the world.

He has tapped into the online freelance economy and has successfully completed multiple projects which includes:

– Participating in the customer support and administrative services of an ICO.

– Creating, training and managing teams to be the customer’s first point of contact for multiple online projects.

– Managing the introductory stages of deal offers which may come in via contact channels.

Seeing the growth possible with cryptocurrencies, Stefan is now fully focused on developing and expanding on opportunities within the cryptospace.

CEO & CLO in the Philippines

CEO Ryan Terribilini touring office space under construction that CEZA may make available to licensees.

A little birdy told us that our CEO Ryan Terribilini and CLO Terris Ko were spotted in Manila, Philippines this past week. Our source pointed out they were visiting the beautiful islands not for vacation but for a business trip, specifically to meet with CEZA officials.

As for the question why? Many media have reported that the Philippines have been very active in the development of blockchain programs and promoted programs to act as catalysts and accelerators for blockchain education, growth and skills development.

One aspect of this has been the Philippine government’s goal to be one of Asia’s forefront countries in blockchain development, and as Formosa Financial aims to be a Fintech leader in Asia, we were honored to be in Manila to meet face-to-face with CEZA officials to share ideas about our newly acquired CEZA principal license.

Stay tuned in the following weeks as we will have more news and announcements regarding CEZA.

He also has a strong interest in machine learning, and ranked in the top 2% globally in his first Kaggle competition, House Prices: Advanced Regression Techniques.

Upon joining FF, he aims to provide clients quantitative solutions to capture short-term trends and help manage risk exposure of digital assets backed by quantitative research, machine learning and big data. With his experience and skills, Peter will be a big addition in the building of our trading platform.

Platform Updates

Finally, some updates from our CTO Lorne Lantz on how the Formosa Financial user platform is coming:

Wireframing — We have iterated on these a few times, and expect to have an entire platform of wireframes completed by end of week. After approved, Ron(UI/UX) will then move on to designing the screens.

Backend — Foundation of database is designed, and core API calls built. Integration into our custody provider is almost complete. We are now capable of depositing/withdrawing crypto over testnet. We still need to build additional security measures around this.

Trading tech — Engineers have already built out one basic trading strategy and have successfully tested automated liquidation with one exchange. They are now iterating on the trading bot.

We’ll be sharing more posts of blockchain and Formosa Financial updates on our official website — An institutional grade digital asset management tool for blockchain innovators.
