Offline Forms now in Formplus! Take a look at our Latest Features

The latest version of Formplus is now live and with it comes a number of amazing new features and improvements, plus some key changes.

Here is a quick summary of what to expect when you sign up or sign in to Formplus from today:

Now let’s take a look at the new features in full:

New Features

Improved Login Experience

New users can now sign up to Formplus with their Facebook and non-Gmail accounts. Previously, would-be users were restricted to using Gmail account to sign up to Formplus but this is no longer the case, you can now use your Facebook account or any other email address to sign up for a Formplus account.

New Formplus login page

For old users who signed up using Gmail, when next you login to Formplus, you will see a brand new login page — www.formpl.us/auth. To sign in and view your forms, click the ‘Sign In with Google’ button and complete the sign in process with the email address associated with your Formplus account.

Offline Forms

In addition to SMS form submissions, we have introduced a new feature to let your respondents submit a form even when there is no internet connection.

This offline form has been filled

The forms submitted offline are then synced to your cloud storage once there is a stable internet connection. Read this Formplus support article for a better explanation.

Custom Sub-Domains

Now you can include your organisation name in your form links; form URLs can now begin with a custom subdomain such as “brandname.formpl.us”.

We added this feature to provide a more secure customer experience and give you a strong brand recognition right from your form’s URL.

File Storage in Formplus

We now have permanent file storage capabilities in Formplus — this means that you no longer have to depend on your Google Drive or Dropbox file upload options.

Once you choose to store files on Formplus, you can directly download files uploaded to your form.

Response Summary

With Formplus you can view analytics for the data collected via forms. Using any of the available chart options on the Analytics page, you can see a summary of responses for a field or all fields in a form.

Smiley Form Field

Emoji reactions are now live in Formplus! Now your respondents are not limited to just words and numbers; with the new smiley form field, they can respond to questions with emojis.

Form Customisation

The customisation experience has been improved so it’s more robust, helping you make even more beautiful online forms.

Here are some ways that form customisation has been improved:

• Background image — You can change the image size in your forms and also tweak it to make it fixed or repeated.
• Logo position: Users on the pro and premium plans are no longer limited to one position for their logos on their online forms.
• Form buttons: Now you can change the type of button on your forms and the position that they are in i.e left right or centred.
• Font size: You can now change the size of your form title and the fields of your form.
• Form width: The width of your forms are no longer restricted to the default as you can now set it to be as wide/narrow as you want.

Print Responses after Submission

This feature gives form respondents an option to print or download their form responses in a PDF format. The sent form data will be the same as what is sent to users when ‘Include users response’ is enabled in the Autoresponder feature.

Flexible Response Page

Responses stored in Formplus can now be viewed individually(Single) and as cards, as opposed to the default Table view. You can do this by double clicking a response or switching to the ‘Single’ response view.

Improvements

We also made some improvements to the Formplus builder. Here are some of them:

• While creating forms in the form builder, look out for the customized messages — they are there to provide tips and help you have a better form building experience.
• If you will like to add images to your form, you can now select an image from your computer and not just via default embed image link option.
• We have added an option to delete your stored responses on Formplus. You can delete a single response or select multiple responses to delete.
• Users on the Pro plan can now add logos to online forms for better customisation.
• The default ‘reply-to email’ for autoresponder emails is now your Formplus account email. You can change this email and set it to a different email address if you prefer.

Coming Soon to Formplus…

These features will be added in the coming weeks. Please keep an ear (or two) to the ground, so you’ll be the first to know when it happens.

• Form Analytics: Once you create a web form with Formplus, you will be able to analyse metrics like unique views, conversion rate, and form abandonment rate so you can run better campaigns.
• Multiple User-Accounts: This feature will be tailored to users with team members who need to log in and make changes to their online forms, use form data or other features of their Formplus account.
• Payments Integration: Soon, you will be able to create payment forms using Formplus — Online payment forms with Stripe, Flutterwave and Paypal are coming to Formplus!
• OneDrive Integration: Once this feature is up, you will be able to send file uploads submitted via forms directly to your OneDrive storage account.
• Electronic Signature (E-signature) Forms: This will allow respondents to easily append their signatures to a form. Instead of printing out a form to sign it, electronic signature forms will cut out all the steps in between and allow respondents sign your online form directly.
• Dynamic Form Field: The Dynamic field will allow you create even shorter forms, especially in cases where the number of possible answers can only be determined in real-time.
