Pedestrians. Crossing?

I know what you’re thinking, you’re hoping for a highly detailed analytical look into the average encounter one would deal with at a pedestrian crossing.

…I have sad news for you dear reader.

That will not be the focus of today’s word salad.

I’m not here to get preachy about people’s inability to look up from our phones either, BUT… ( and yes I know that’s a bit of a fake lead in) ((yes its cheap and kinda played out, but go with me here))

We are a few years into having fully integrated devices that average Joe can buy for him and his family. ( and yes I know it could be average Jane buying for her family, but at this point you’re just forcing yourself to read more words)

Ahem, anyway my point being here that we as a people appear to be simultaneously getting smarter and dumber… at the same time.

I’m sure I could go on about how people are missing out on meeting new and interesting people outside in the world, but then again I don’t like people very much myself.

I’m more worried about your bloodied horrible gymnastic accident looking corpse being thrown in front of me or..I guess a child or something? ( that sounds like it would probably be a bad thing) and maybe this is just a new brand of natural selection re-enforcing its law on us.

But still, it seems silly to die and mentally scar poor orphan Timmy just for another Candy looking reward on your mobile game.

So why am I saying all this?

Am I admitting my desire for all human lives to stay bopping along?

I don’t really know.. it just seems like something we should all spend at least a tiny amount of time thinking about and maybe attempting to not let it happen to us or people we give a crap about.

Stay Safe out there

Hugs and kisses from me — to me also.
