Or do you know the owner of BMW?

Everyone knows Elon Musk, the owner of the car manufacturer Tesla. But do you know the owner of BMW? Other successful American entrepreneurs like Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, or Mark Zuckerberg are also world-famous. The super-rich like the Rockefellers or Vanderbilts are also well known.

Most billionaires live in the USA and China. The country in third place with the most billionaires is Germany. That’s amazing because you don’t see or hear anything about the German billionaires. They don’t appear in the tabloids, they don’t make headlines with their huge mansions and their mega yachts. But yet they do exist. The super-rich Germans.

Who are these super-rich?

For many years, the brothers Theo Albrecht Jr. and Karl Albrecht Jr. have been among the richest Germans. Ever heard of them? They are the sons of the two founders of the Aldi supermarket chain (Aldi = AL brecht DI scount). The two company founders were also extremely shy of publicity. Virtually no photos of the Albrechts exist.
