Here’s our most recent pick of the FoodTech superstars bringing food and tech together beautifully.

1. Too Good To Go

Too Good To Go offers what we like to call ‘Magic Bags’. What’s so magical about them? Well, the ‘food waste’ that we deal with here at Too Good To Go is all the delicious, perfectly edible food that stores and restaurants have to throw out at the end of the day. Some great examples of this unsold food is from bakeries that have to bake fresh everyday or restaurants that didn’t sell all the food they had prepared. However, you won’t know exactly what you’re getting until you pick it up. They are based in Copenhagen but have operations in major European cities such as London and according to them have saved 27,256 tonnes of CO2 so far.

2. Magellan Life Science

Based out of Hyderabad, India, Magellan’s is a synthetic biology company that discovers and develops plant inspired proteins for commercial applications in Food and Beverage industries. Magellan’s proprietary protein production platform XSeed®bridges the gap from R&D to consumer markets by allowing for economically viable industrial scale production of unique natural proteins.

3. SuperMeat

SuperMeat is a scientific and ideological driven effort to supply the world animal-friendly and sustainable means to produce meat. SuperMeat joined forces with leading players from the biotech and conventional meat industries, working together to form the next agricultural revolution of meat production.

4. AgriWebb

AgriWebb creates easy to use farm management software covering all enterprises. We’re helping thousands of farmers across Australia simplify their farm record keeping, solve their audit and accreditation needs and increase the productivity of their farms.

5. Ripe IO

Their technology provides a distributed, shared system of trust needed for the food supply chain to profoundly change and improve industry goals for sustainability, spoilage reduction, safety, nutrition, and quality.
