What happened to Misrach Ewunetie?

This story has bothered me for the past month. As a mom of a college student, I can understand the pain of what her parents must be feeling since the day she went missing till the day her body was discovered.

The circumstances of her disappearance are mysterious at best….. I mean according to various news reports, Misrach had been last seen near Scully Hall where she lived on campus at or around about 3 a.m. Friday. Several articles claim that prior to that she had been working on a project with friends and had been making her way back to her dorm. The only person that claims to have seen her after that point was maybe her dorm mate? And even she wasn’t to clear about that since she was sleeping.

That leaves many questions about what exactly happened after? Did she just get up and wonder around campus after since everyone else was asleep? How did nobody see her the next day, not even her supposed dorm mates? Where did she go and how was it that she had no interactions with anyone during the entire week she was missing?

As a mother of a college student, this story has just sat wrong with me from the beginning with the scant lack of information that was available. According to media, the police believe that no foul play was involved and so that means she must have committed suicide despite what her family believes. What especially disturbs me is that one short month later there has been no real updates or anything regarding Misrach’s death.

I want to end this in saying that I hope that Misrach’s family get some kind of closure and some answers as to what happened.
